I started seeing this guy recently, we talk everyday and always look forward to seeing one another. He seems to put in a lot of effort always wanting to do romantic things (like go on dates, cuddle up to one another, he even suggested we go away somewhere for a weekend together). I get the "good morning beautiful" text everday and he always texts first.

So I kinda really like this guy. He likes to chat throughout the day, he wants more than just sex, he cares to know things about me. But here's the thing. We were talking about relationships (we both got out of longterm ones within the past year) and he says "you're a great person and I'm sure when the time comes you'll find the right guy"

Ummm? What? My question is this. If he wants to just hook up with me, then why is he putting in all this unneeded effort? And wouldn't a guy only text you everyday and want to go away somewhere if he really genuinely liked you? I am so confused. Halp.

Wow. All of that stuff he is doing with you and then he drops that line about you finding someone else? Your jaw must have dropped.


The only thing I could suggest is that you have a heart to heart talk with him and see what he really means. You are getting mixed signals. Maybe he thinks you won’t want HIM long term? Just be sure it’s not some misunderstanding.

If you cultivate the girlfriend energy, it wouldn't make sense for him to not want a relationship with you.

If you focus on doubts and what he is doing, he will also doubt you.

Like attracts like. Just focus on your good girlfriend vibes, and it doesn't matter what he says or does.
