My boyfriend gets all weird and sad or upset when I talk about other people (other guys)?

This is absolutely ridiculous honestly, the other day i said got back onto connection with a guy friend and thats all we ever been we both have partners but we never hangout 1 on 1 it’s always with a group of people. His face went from a smile to a drop as he always does when i talk about guys, these are just guys to me i see them way as friends as i do as my girls.

I dont care if he hangs with girls and we spoke about that already, he claims he doesn't care if i have guy friends but he gets all weird and distant when i bring one up or what happened when i hung out with them and others, this makes everything weird cause h’ll stop talking to me for the night or for the day and say he feels sad because of his mindset, although i only notice this when i talk about guys. Even when i talk about male clients who are from WORK i have zero relationships with these guys other than work. My boyfriend is also very hypocritical, when he goes out with his friends he won't text me for hours but he’ll post about his night everwhere. When i go out he makes me feel ashamed of going out with my friends and he feels i give him no attention during this time… i just can't stand it he's being a literal baby.

If this were like 8 months ago I’d completely agree with you, and I don't know maybe it’s bc I’m about to be 30 I’m having like some sort of epiphany or something lol. What I’m learning now tho, is that when our boyfriends have these fits about us having guy friends, it’s because they recognize that more often than not, your guy friends want to sleep with you. I know, I know and I hate to even say it. Trust me I fought for my best guy friends to keep them in my life, I was adamant about it, they’d either have girlfriends, we’ve been friends since high school, etc. And I still have two guy friends that I refuse to give up! I had so many reasons, like feeling as tho my boyfriend didn’t trust me, that he was jealous or trying to control me, etc etc etc. But it’s a complete shock and disappointment, recognizing that many of your male friends are only that because they are either friend zoned, don’t find you attractive, or you tried at some point and it didn’t work out. I swear! Too many times I’ve had the deep disappointment of realizing my guy friends weren’t really my friends. Like I said, only two of them made the cut and I refuse to let them go. Moral of this rant is, try not to be so furious with your boyfriend. He has a perspective that you just will never get. Same as there’s things about women that he just can’t understand because he is a guy. So do with this info what you will, I’m just sharing this perspective as someone who’s fought tooth and nail to keep my “guy friends”.

Not only is he jealous! He is being immature and childish. I don't understand guys that think a girl needs to stop being friends. or talking to male friends. My girlfriend has male friends and I have no problem with it. The reason is I trust her. I expect her to do the same for me. I have female friends and that's what they are friends. Hopefully he will grow out of the childish behavior and stop treating you as property instead of a partner.

I did read an article one time that said some women will talk about other men to their partners as a way of signalling that she's more interested in the other guy.
It's supposed to be a red flag. Maybe your boyfriend read the same article?
