Are you single or in a relationship, if so, what made you choose to be?

Question

For me i first choose to be single till i finished college, some of ya know my reasons for it, then recently I decided to try dating again. (Haven't dated since I was 15)
Know what I learned. I am not a girlfriend. It's not in me as of yet.

The reason? I really have no interest in dating because I can't find someone to keep me interested over 2 weeks.

I quickly lose interest and move on. So instead of hurting someone's feelings by making them feel like they are boring, I think it's best to not date.
Plus the freedom of being single for 5+ years makes me hesitant to lose that.

I'm sure one day someone will keep my interest, but I don't know rn, I ain't found it.

I was single for a long time, or engaged in only casual relationships. About ten years ago I met my now husband and we dated for a while, broke up, then a little over a year later ended up back together and have been ever since.

I chose to be with him and marry him because, at the time, I figured that's what you do, right? You find someone you like well enough and get married. But very quickly I realized that's not how it is supposed to go and we both worked hard to figure out why we were together and why we had fallen in love to begin with and it's been getting better every day since.

Sometimes I miss being single, sometimes I miss dating girls, but I love him more than life itself and all of those things I'm missing pale in comparison to what we have and I wouldn't change that for the world.

I'm in a relationship currently. Its still pretty new, but I'm very happy!

Honestly, this is probably the one I'm going to be with forever too. I'm an introverted person who definitely likes their alone time, but I want to be around them. Even if we're not doing anything special. I just them to be there.

So, I'm pretty happy where I'm at.

I've been single for almost two years now... it wasn't a conscious choice really, I just usually take some time off and by myself, after relationships... and then the pandemia hit, which has kept me quite busy and invested on my business... and then I'm just fine with that, I've never been bothered by being NOT in a relationship, and I have no rush to get back to one... the future will happen eventually, and either way it goes I'll be into that willingly

I get it. I dated a string of girls one year. I went out with a girl that was just not very interested in me. I don't know why she bothered in the first place. I was sick of dating and really planned on giving it up for a while or maybe forever. Ironically I met my future wife the very next day.

I kind of relate, just that I've never really dated anyone cause I haven't met the right person.

For me, psychological connection is very important because I want someone with whom I can have a good, quality conversation without feeling the pressure of censoring my own speech or leaving stuff out. It's not something that can be forced - it's either there or not.

So far, I haven't yet clicked with anyone in that way (well, when it comes to potential romantic interests or whatever). I've been on a few dates and it just didn't work out for me, so instead of dating someone that I don't really feel that drawn to or am mentally intrigued by, I opted for being single until the right guy comes by. And I am fine with that because love is not something that should be forced or rushed (man, I sound so cheesy saying that).

I am 100% single split up with my ex just around the beginning of covid 19 and since we haven't been able to go out really do much are goats places to meet anybody I just stayed single hopefully this covered crap will get over with so we can start living life again but I don't really think that's going to happen I think we're on our downhill fall I hope that I'm wrong are you single or are you a relationship

Im single by choice. Almost 23 and im working and going to school. I just haven't found him yet and im also choosing not to focus on dating at the moment. Id rather be single than in a toxic, stressful, unhealthy relationship.

In a relationship. It was by accident. I met a Filipino woman online and we had a lot in common most notably family values. Something I haven't been able to find in dating American women. I assumed a was a confirmed bachelor till I met her. We talked for months online and she flew over here finally to meet me last spring. We plan on flying back next spring do I canmeet her family.

I kind of always wanted to be in a relationship. It took me until I was 27 to succeed the first time. So far I am enjoying it. I probably won't move on quickly if I ever break up, but as for now that won't happen soon.
