I’m talking to this guy, we’re long distance, and he’s mentioned the future with me several times (marriage, meeting my father, flying out to see me). He’s even been working extra hours to make money so that he can come out for an extended time. He’s told me that I don’t have to worry about other girls and said that he doesn’t want other guys to touch/have me. But we don’t follow each other on social media, I don’t know if he’s deleted his dating apps, and we haven’t actually had “the talk” about what we are.

I mean... have the talk. ALWAYS have whatever talk needs talking about. Talking is almost always the way to go.

It will definitely save you more hurt feelings than it'll cause. Guaranteed. That's something I try and practice myself. This is such a clear case of it. You already knew that's what you should do before you asked this. So... don't be a chicken. Have the talk you know you need to have. Say what you need to, and see what he has to say back.
