Have you ever regretted rejecting someone? Later thinking that person might have ended up being a good match or good fit for you?

I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone through an experience like that, have you ever regretted rejecting someone that you were at first not interested in but then later you think that, dating or being with them possibly would have ended up being a good experience, your thoughts or feelings changed for that person sometime later.

In my case I regret not pursuing things further with this girl who expressed interest in me my sophomore year of high school, it's a long story as to why I feel nothing more happened with her.

Yes! Had a similar experience. I did not pay attention to the signals from a girl senior year in HS... went through college, had some fun, then 2 years out of college I regretted it because I was in a dating rut! I actually tried making contact with her, but never got a hold of her. Maybe for the better because I eventually found a woman that rocks my world but who knows.

Sure I regret rejecting the girl I was tutoring in business when I was in secondary school but I was already in a relationship to be fair

My would be father in law had already pulled a deactivated pistol on me as a warning that if I broke his daughter's heart, he break a lot more of me before he got there luckily we split amicably when things went long distance

I rejected a stranger online cause I didn’t know him and later realized he was a good guy and I should have given him a chance.

No, never... I sometimes regretted agreeding to date someone I didn't like despite feeling it probably wouldn't end well.

Yes and no. It was less a rejection than just wanting to not be bullied, but when I was 12, a 9 year old girl would always pinch and grab me and try to drag me places. I eventually got to where I could do a very specific move with leverage to wrench my arm free. If she had been nice about it, and I hadn't had a crush on a different girl my age, I mightve given her a chance. But like, 9 year olds shouldn't be dating anyway, so it was definitely the RIGHT decision for me and probably her too. But now we're both in our 20s, and she is gorgeous 🤦‍♂️ She's a real brat though... so maybe I still made the right choice lol

Yep. That happened to me in my high school days. I can think of at least 4 or 5 really cute girls who showed definite interest in me that I later regretted not responding to.

i think people change in time and you guys might not have been a good match then but totally could be now

Never. I know who I like and what I don't. I have never regretted rejecting anyone.

Not really, but I don't reject people lightly. I think about it all the way through before deciding to move on.

No because everything happens for a reason and God has a reason why it happened. A better person will come along.
