This person and I go way back in 2018. Not in a relationship yet at that time but we knew how we both felt for each other. But it was short lived because of me. I stopped replying/meeting him because I was going through something bad and didn’t want to drag him along. Years passed and never heard from him.
However, I started to reach out to him just recently (2021) through messenger. Was excited when he gave me his number (took it as a sign that it was ok for me to text him on WhatsApp) This one here:- kinda gave me hope that we had a chance again.
But I notice he was replying me out of being polite. Friendly-but-distant kind of texts. Sometimes I waited & waited for his reply for hours & there was one time, it took him 3 days to reply. (but I know he was working outstation)
Now, me being me. A dumb*ss, decided to just straight up confess to him that I still have feelings for him (yes I did. Even after all these years) But to save whatever shred of dignity I have left, I also told him not to reply that text or else I would feel even worst than I already did.
Okay look. I kinda thought he would actually text me back. I mean, I did drunk texted him before and next day when I realised it I told him not to reply. But he did. He was assuring me that it is not a big deal and that he would be “happy” to catch up over coffee.
Should I just delete his contact number? Because besties, I’m so clueless. I really wanted him to text me back but all I hear is nothing.
