Forget all the shaming and patronizing. Women overwhelmingly file for divorces about 70%, that statistic being almost 90% in college educated women and about 50% of marriages end up in divorce. Now I get that laws have become progressive and women have equal rights, but if that were the case then women should have been filing about 50% of the divorces. I'm not going to go into who pays for most of the alimony, child custody, etc, that we all know. So going by the statistics alone, I would say marriage is a fantasy and getting married is a very bad deal if you are a man. Never get into a contract with someone who is incentivized to break it.
