Say you were 38, would you ever date a 18 years old girl (if this was above the age of consent in your country)?

I fall in love based on personality/shared hobbies, but prefer not to go over a 10 year gap.

I could just say my exact age would be best, and it would be, but I honestly think if I stay within a 5 year gap, I'll be single forever.

Any girl that close to my age, who likes difficult video games, is an atheist, is an artist, likes anime, sci-fi, and fantasy, is attractive, and is bubbly and sweet, is almost certainly already married.

I may have waited too long to be extra picky about age. I've been on dating site after dating site, and I can't find even one woman near my age who fits that description, but plenty in their early to mid twenties, and I'm honestly pretty frustrated about it.

It’s about compatibility and must be mutual, you can’t just have it one way.

additionally it cannot be because of her age, it MUST be due to some other reason there is an attraction, also again mutual.

It is as @CourtneyHead_ says as long as not creepy.

it is a stretch and would need compelling reasons.

I had a great relationship with someone 11 years younger.
I had no idea of how old she was when I met her and found out later how old she was. By the time I did find out we had connected really well.
There were a few differences in things like music, but it never was a big deal.
At some point you have to have somethings in common, and with a large discrepancy in ages that can be a bit harder to find.
So yes it can be possible, but I'm thinking it may not happen too often.

All depends on her mature state of mind. Some people mature at younger ages when others do not. I don't want an immature woman, it's unnecessarily too much. If she's mature and a young adult then that's fine with me. I'll go for women around my age preferably though since they have much higher chances of being more mature.

No. I would feel weird dating a 18 year old girl right now, and I’m 24. They’re still in that high school phase, which I don’t want to be apart of.

Yeah, that's too high a difference for me, if I was like if I was 40 and it was a 15 or 20 years difference it would feel too weird and make me feel like I'm dating a child even if she was legally an adult.

I have always maintained that compatibility is far more important than age, to me; my age range for dating would be 20-45, and any 19 or 18 year old girl would have to be super compatible with me for me to date her.
