I find i like it when a guy asks me questions that are personal to me, like, did you study around here? What does your name mean? How long have you been in this city? Why did you choose to join this gym / job / club / church / party / event / market / store / tourist attraction? What is your favourite type of tea? What is your favourite movie? Did you read a lot of books as a child? Do you visit churches / temples / mosques / shrines / synagogues / monasteries often? What is your dream vacation? When is your birthday? (Than ask if they take advantage of the weather for that month they were born in). Do you speak any other languages?
Start with food. Everyone can talk about food. But come from talking about you first. Talk about your experiences as a starter. “Me, me , I, I,”
Its a bad idea to “ASK”. If you ask you come off as nosey and annoying.
Start of with scentences like. “ Yo, yesterday I went to the movies with my friend and this place was a mess , nobody cleaned anything”.
Just share your crazy experiences in a way. Good experiences and bad ones and even try informing them of things you know.
Thatll usually convince the other person to share their own story.
Talk about food, or weather or generic items. If she starts to talk about herself, milk that. Do not talk about yourself, people love it when others want to hear about them. It is actually a training I did, let others talk about themselves. Focus on them and they will like you more and leave the conversation with positive thoughts.
Do not ask too many questions though, until you know each other better or it comes across as creepy and stalkerish.
