@OlderAndWiser The way my date dresses isn't important. All that matters are shared interests, compatible political & religious views, & shared lifestyles.
Just presentable dressing is completely fine for me. If she’s too well dressed then I might focus more on her looks that what we’re actually conversing.
First impression is very important. It shows the partner that you cared about the date and she isn't wasting her time. Look who is advising, someone who hasn't been on a single date. Lmao
In Germany we say "clothes make the man" meaning it is important how people dress and represent themselves. That doesn't mean the person needs to wear brands and shit (for the incels on here), it just means being nicely put together

To me I wear formal clothes everywhere. Even to the supermarket and school
I’ll dress nicely for them and expect the same level of respect.
Not too formal like you would wear to a president's party, not too ghetto or too revealing.

I do take it into consideration since it shows how much they care about the date
I don't care much tbh, unless she's totally dirty, then it's a problem.
I always imagine them naked anyway. So how they dress doesn't really matter.

Not sure who you are referring to when you say "Look who is advising, someone who hasn't been on a single date." Are you referring to me?
lmao me
Oh, now I get it. Why no dates? No interest or is there a problem?
i have strict over protective parents, plus single child so not yet
Do you have a plan to resolve this problem?
I would notice it but would not make a big deal about it.
Someone who is poorly dressed shows two things. One, no respect for your first date. Two, no self-respect.
I’m less concerned by how they Dre’s and more concerned with how they undress for me…
I couldn't care less.
It matters and also depends on the venue
I’d say E sums it up rather well.
I guess so
I dress casual all the time. Depends on the place
It matters!

"Clothes make the man" is also an adage in the US.
Oh great🙏🏼
The saying is actually Latin in origin and dates back to 7 B. C. In Latin it is “vestis virum facit” meaning “clothes make the man.”
Thank you for that information! Now I'm gonna keep saying it, everytime I hear that phrase again haha
There is also a reverse of that saying. "Clothes don't make a man" So yeah.. 😆
