Why are people so invested in my love life?

This is something that has been going on for 1-3 months and I don't understand any of this. Before I carry on with the question, I am a guy and I'm 17.

A lot of people I know are all showing some kind of interest in my love life. I've had two people tell me to "get out there" and "talk to girls". I've had one person express surprise at the lack of love in my life and they think I am capable of success in the world of love. I've had another person asking if I've ever dated anyone, and asking me kind of personal questions.

People are talking about the lack of my success in love, and someone told me that these people were. The two people that expressed surprise, asked if I ever dated anyone and asked me personal questions were talking to someone else about it. I heard my name, and it was later confirmed I was the subject.

What's the reason for being asked all these personal questions and talking about the fact I've never had a girlfriend. Some people think they're trying to matchmake.

I think people in general love to be invested in someone's else life and give themselves a right to make comments about it. It's annoying, but some people are just like that.

I'd say don't bother about it. Even if you had a girlfriend, they would find something to comment about.

About them talking about your lack of success in love, that's bulshitt. You are just 17, there is plenty of time. Don't rush into things.

Yeah, but I get this feeling that they are possibly trying to do some matchmaking with one of their friends. There's two girls. One keeps asking me questions about myself. One thinks I am a hit with the girls. They both are in relationships, so they aren't interested in me. People I've talked to thinks maybe, key word, maybe!! They are trying to do something like that.

One of the questions asked was very specific too.

I don't really mind that much. It doesn't bother me. I am just curious.

They have nothing better to do than get involved with your love life. Dont worry about it, its not serious.

I mean, they do things like have a job and study. The questions asked are so, so specific, it's almost unnatural.

That happened to me around that age. It was annoying. I just ignored it and lived my life.

Are they looking to matchmake though? It seems that way.

Maybe theyre trying to match you up with a girl and she is too shy to talk to you so they do it instead on her behalf
