Guy that I met recently hasn't replied to my text, help?

I use Quora, and this guy who lives nearby (I use German Quora and my country isn't as large as America, the fact he lives nearby is no huge coincidence lol) contacted me and we both immediately realized there was chemistry between us, we have been saying things like ''I really like you'' to each other. I've known him since Saturday. I haven't given him my number yet, but yesterday I sent him a message on Quora. It's been more than 24 hours. I know that everyone has their phone at hand reach most of the time, if you text someone on Whatsapp they're 90% going to see the text immediately or a few minutes later, but I'm talking to him on Quora and there's a possibility he just hasn't logged in since yesterday, but at the same time I doubt he hasn't seen my message yet, he really seemed to be into me and I doubt he hasn't logged in for more than 24 hours. Would it be okay if I ask him where he's been or should I wait another day or two?

If he was really into you, he would make a point to look to see if you had sent a message. Stop being so desperate, he's either going to contact you or he's not

He contacted me and then made an effort to build a connection. I don't see how I am desperate and I don't understand why he'd waste his time then disappear. I'll just wait and see I guess.

You don't see how you're desperate, you're worried about a guy responding to you that you just met. That's pretty desperate. Good thinking, wait and see what happens. Basically that's what I told you

The time you've spent with a person doesn't really matter. I can hang out with a man for years and not develop any feelings and then I can meet a new guy and feel lust or develop an emotional connection in just two days. Thanks for your answer though, it helped.
