Why did he stop texting?

Matched with this guy on a dating app for marriage. Turns out he’s good friends with my brother. When he found out who my brother was he said he gained more respect for me and he loves my brother. He said he wants to get to know me and keep talking to me and hopefully be in his life forever. But he also said this is too much and he doesn’t know how this will end.

We texted for a bit he got my Instagram and we texted on there for a bit. But why did he leave me on read randomly and never start a convo again? It’s been more than a day. He’s been active on Instagram and the dating app.
