However smart women can get many dates because of being women not for their smartness. Smart men are seen as good only if it's associated with good future earing. But that's not for his actual smartness.

Of course it is real. People finding intelligence attractive is not strange. What sapiosexual normally means is that as you are passionately explaining the newest implementation of deep data analytics and how it might revolutionze marketing by providing high value statistical background for a fraction of the cost that.. whatever else you care about, your sapiosexual partner is as likely to be listening to you as they are to want to rip your clothes off then and there.

Yes, but its usually coupled with normal sexuality.
Like for example, I find intelligence very attractive, but its attractive from a friendship point of view, not a sexual one.

However... high intelligence is required for me to be interested in persuing someone who I find sexually attractive, because friendship is a required part of dating/marriage.
So while I'm not directly sexually aroused by intelligence, I am turned off by hot bodies if her brain is dumb.
