I'm crushing on a guy and I told my friends when we were talking in school but they were all like 'eww, he's not cute' because he's not the usual type that hangs out with us and they all have hotter jock kind of boyfriends. But I really like him and we already talk a lot and get along. I wanna ask him out but my friends might freak.

He's in good-ish shape but he's not super sporty and muscley and he's not very tall

Maybe you are comparing him to the bfs your friends have and if they are all sporty you are afraid your guy wouldn’t fit in? What is it about him that attracts you?

Yeah, its a bit like that, we usually all hang out together with our bfs in a group and I don't think he'd have anything in common with any of us. But he's really sweet and he just treats me differently to any other guys I've been with, it feels like he listens to me more
