I think it goes equal both ways. I know ugly guys who try for the hot chicks even if they know they will likely get rejected. I know ugly girls who ask hot guys. I know hot married with ugly in long-term relationships that were based on character and not appearance. Hot is hot. Doesn't matter with gender. Perhaps how ugly guys vs ugly girls go about seeking a hot guy/girl might differ. Ugly wealthy guy could get a pretty girl. Ugly girl that is very mature, responsible, and has great character could be noticed by a hot guy. When you know somebody's heart, their ugliness becomes uniquness, and sometimes the 'love quality' for that individual.

I said in the details of course there is a minority percentage of average and ugly men/women in romantic relationships with good looking men/women, but that does not represent the majority of the time. MOST of the time (key word most) good looking men and women mostly only get romantically involved with good looking people. Since it is a low percentage for the others I mentioned, that is why I said they are delusional. But I think there are more average and ugly women that are delusional in this matter though. Most average and ugly men stop being delusional around 20 when it comes to this subject.

Yes, I can read very well. "Most" is subjective. "Minority" is subjective. 'average' is also subjective though I could argue that a scientific technique could be used to define average. Since you seem to enjoy arguing, I'll say I disagree with your 'most' and 'minority' statements. I think in grade school kids judge dating on appearances. Once they are in their twenties, out of school, work and mature a bit, dating starts to focus on other things than only appearance. From my experience, I know hot people that get married and get divorced a couple years later, date a different hot person, get divorced again, and eventually they learn to smarten up. I think similar people date similar people, not just at the appearance level, but life style and personality. Appearance might only be 1/3rd of the picture or less.
Here is the thought picture: I notice heavy set people tend to date other heavy set people. Do they do this because they look for only heavy set people? Or did they find someone with similar interests that result in being heavy set? Chicken and egg analysis. Someone who looks and is nerdy dates another nerd, maybe because they both enjoy the same nerd stuff. But this is also where a really attractive nerd could be looking for a nerd and end up dating an ugly nerd. Though the attractive nerd may not see the other as being 'ugly' physically cause instead they are relating on interest.
You could also argue, what percentage of people falling into the categories of ugly, average, and hot? Maybe their are fewer hot people leading to rarity, so it appears less hot people date the other two groups, but it could be a bias and actually equivalent. Of course, pro grade school. Grade school doesn't count.
I mean, beauty is subjective. There are so many celebrities that are listed as being the most attractive person in the world and I sit in the back like, " huh? what? really? Their head looks like a thumb!" but I just have to accept that I'm not their audience. Average or ugly guys are not less delusional. If anything, the constant rejections they receive gives them this superhuman level of confidence to keep shooting free throws until they get a hit.

And yes good looking is subjective but their is a general conception of good looking (meaning what a huge percentage of people agree with what people they find good looking). For example George Clooney, that Thor actor, Meghan Fox, etc. Someone can think a day person is sexy for example but they should know that most people won't agree. Even though you may not find a person good looking you should be able to tell if they fit the general conception of good looking or not. Logic sense.
