How badly did I stuff up 😳?

Okay so basically I have little crush on my brothers basketball coach (I’m 16 and he’s 19). People think he may like me too.

So today while he was training my brother, my ex boyfriend called me like 50 times and kept texting me being super awful (we broke ages ago) Obviously the guy I like (I’ll call him T) didn’t know what was going on.

So I started tearing up and my mum told me not to cry cause I’ll embarrass myself. She meant because he won’t know what’s going on and it’ll look like I’m trouble, but her delivery was awful and being as sensitive as I am, I burst into tears. So she told me to go to the car. So I walked out crying.

Anyway I called my stepdad in tears because I was thinking my mum snapped at me and was mad at me (she didn’t, it was miscommunication but mostly my dramatic-ness). I told him she snapped at me in front of T for crying. I was really hurt.

Anyway I walked back in afterwards to hug my mum and she was sitting next to T explain everything to him (because my stepdad called her and asked if I was okay). She explained that my ex was harassing me, I got teary and she told me not to cry (cause people would think I was in trouble) and I thought she snapped at me so I burst into tears.

So basically I made myself seem like some really overly sensitive, silly girl because I thought someone was mad at me when really they didn’t.

It sounds like a real drama but it wasn’t as bad as it sounds.

Anyway when I walked in they were laughing about it, he was smiling. He then said ‘silly boys’ and chuckled a little. So he didn’t seem too weirded out by me.

He has also mentioned before that when coaching girls, he has to be a lot nicer cause they’re more sensitive. He usually lets it rip with the boys. He’s pretty big (6’8) with a really loud, scary, deep voice.

So I either let out a girly, sensitive side that could be attractive in a way. Or I let out a really embarrassing side and I messed up. I can’t tell.

So which was it? Did I mess up?

Firstly, it doesn't seem like you messed up, to me, based on the fact he was laughing and made the remark "silly boys." Like he seemed chill about it, rather than off-put.

But as for whether you came across as sensitive, girly, and attractive or a "silly girl who cryed over a misunderstanding" is completely up to what he likes in a girl. Personally, I love delicate, emotionally sensitive women. A lot of guys feel similarly, but also a lot of guys don't like that.

But if I had to guess, I'd say he probably wasn't off-put by it.

Thank you for the invite! You ex sounds like a stalker and I think you should tell him to STOP and block him and tell him you're blocking him and to not find other ways to contact you.

I have done that too thinking someone is mad at me. I just think maybe he is too old but as long as you aren't I guess fooling around it would be fine. But people might look down on it.

I have thought the same thing before though about someone or my parents being mad at me but they were not

I did block him and I told him that if he gives me any more issues, my stepdad will be in contact with him. He’d be pretty silly to try anything because my stepdad has a lot of connections and owns part of a law firm, and my ex knows that.

My ex threatened to call the police on me! He’s the one harassing me. It’s crazy haha but gladly all under control. Thank you for your concern.

He is a bit on the older side but you never know what could happen when I’m older. We’ll be around each other for a good few years I reckon. So who knows.

I’ve thought my mum was mad at me plenty of times. It’s pretty typical but it doesn’t help when you’re super sensitive and start balling.

Yea we will see what happens later on if you're still around each other or if you find someone else or seeing your other questions if something happens with another one of your exes.
