Do guys ask girls to choose between casual or serious relationship?

the guy I have been taking to since a month asked me what I want. He said that he is ok with anything. Initially I had told I wanted a serious relationship and he said he wanted the same but later when I told him I am not ready for any type of relationships he said let's go for a casual relationship. I am confused if he truly likes me or just wants sex. Do guys give options to the girls they like?

Well not really because if he wants casual he wouldn't care and if he wants a long term, you saying casual would mean he will continue looking while keeping you until you get replaced. Only guy that doesn't care which he is in, is a guy that doesn't want family. Then he can go with either and keep switching when they end.
