Wow, I feel like I'm in an episode of Madmen, reading this question. I don't know how to break this to you, but they have jobs outside of the home now, not just typing for their male boss either. It's crazy, they vote, and drive cars and everything. I even heard there's this thing they can put over their muff (I don't know it was the most out of date ten I could think of, sorry), so they can pee standing up.
Every woman would see a man being able to cook as a plus. When I'm sick, or in the future when I'm pregnant or just gave birth and am not feeling like doing much, or for when he just wants to treat me, it is a huge relief and help when he cooks a good meal for me, and I appreciate it a lot. Plus a lot of the time he will help me cook and then it's more time we get to talk with each other and spend together.

Every woman I know is always the opposite, at least 20-30. At my age, they love fun guys not boring home cooking. I am not saying all are like that but as I have seen most will be like that at least at this age. Do you know any bad boys/players that cook? will never. One of my guy friends is of player type. Once he had two girlfriends just for food. Those two used to come with great food made by them and had other girls too. I hardly doubt any girl will date a guy just for his cooking or house skills just as men do.
Do you like eating tasty food? If so, then you should probably learn to cook. The best chefs in the world are men. What you are proposing is that men should resign themselves to the fact that they will have to eat inferior food 3 times a day for their entire life just so they don't have to learn an easy skill.

I meant as in dating, not as a personal or professional skill. I have seen when it comes to home cooking those professional chef's wives do that in most cases.
Any guy that knows how to cook well, will do so a few nights a weeks to ensure he has a few satisfying meals. Most women have a couple of dishes they can do an alright job at, but most of them aren't great cooks. Eating well is a big quality of life factor. It's something you do multiple times a day.
Not worthless by any means because unless you're dating/marrying someone who actually enjoys cooking, she's going to want to take a break or be treated or have some help from time to time. Ideally, you cook different meals and enjoy each others' contributions.
Growing up, my mom cooked most of the complex meals while my dad did simpler meals such as breakfasts and pretty much anything that went on the grill, and that's pretty much what I run with as well.
If you’re saying a man learning how to cook because he thinks it would make him more attractive to women is not necessarily the right move then I will agree with you. I think learning how to cook is something that will benefit oneself and their loved ones as knowing how to cook means tastier, healthier, and more diverse meals/dishes. I think this intention will yield longer lasting and more beneficial results than the former intention of learning how to cook.
Absolutely not. I like it when a man cooks, and knows how to make different dishes. I dont like it very much if they love alone and jsut put things in the microwave or stove. That's being lazy and most likely not good for your health. What a man puts in his stomach is important!
Not at all!! If mom never taught me to cook, I might not have found out how she did stuff!! I'd be living on sandwiches, hamburgers and ramen noodles!! Which is practically what I AM living on now that I don't have a stove in the kitchen or a working oven!
Ooooh I would love to date a chef. Honestly, one of my biggest turn-ons is when a man cooks for me and actually tries to make something to impress me.
I also love cooking, but frankly, with my work schedule, I dont have much time to cook. My job is extremely important to me, and I have high aspirations. I would love to meet someone who would love to help with meal prepping and dinner, and would find it as enjoyable as I do :)
Ref update who the hell marries a person based on their housing skills 🤦🤦🤦
I can imagine the conversation, ‘sorry Debbie, I know I love you but you simply cannot fold sheets, I know you look gorgeous, however the ability to fold sheets correctly is so important in a traditional household’
It's worthwhile as a life skill and should be taught in schools how to cook. It's great for living alone so you can cook nice meals that are healthy and it's good for when in a relationship for dates with your partner, just generic splitting of household work/chores. Which cooking is in a way part of it. And tbh the reason this is as common as you say is actually the fact men have the same attitude as you do. If you marry someone you love you shouldn't be marrying then for there housework skills and you shouldn't expect them to do all of it.
I can only speak for myself. Because I value my health I refuse to eat junk food all the time. I live alone. If I did not know how to cook I would not be able to eat healthily. Besides when my mother came to understand I would never get married she made sure before she died that I knew how to cook.

My boyfriend cooks and bakes. I'm amazed at his skills, and he's not a professional chef or anything. But we also did not meet until my early/his late 40s, so in order to survive he had to learn to cook for himself, and he's actually really good at it. I'd say even better than I am, and I'm a decent cook. lol
The best thing to impress a woman is too cook and cook well. Not out of the microwave either. That might get you laid

Well the guys who get most amount of women , aka "players abd bad boys" never cook for girls, yet I have never seen them stuggling with women , at least those once I know. Several of my guy friends got married recently and none of them can cook. Their wives were saying they would love to cook for their men.
Well either way you should learn to cook at least the basics so you can sustain your own needs whilst you're searching for this cooking-loving future wife.
No it's a wonderful skill alongside butchery because you see a stag get hit by a car and boom you can get a freezerful of meat or you have a problem with someone it can be very useful
Wait until the reset, with the restaurants gone and electricity history the man with an axe and some butchery knives will be a king

Historically men almost never cooked , they just brought the meat
Men need to know for when they are on their own. plus, even when you have a woman that usually cooks, what do you do when she is sick and your kids are hungry?
Fast food isn't good to have every day for a week or two straight.
Cooking is just part of being self sufficient. And trying to get someone to feed you is a pretty lame reason to end up in a toxic relationship out of perceived necessity, lol.

On an average 10-30% of men cook globally. So rest of relationships are toxic?

My bad, I should have specified mentally and emotionally stable woman.

Even at age 55?
I know it's hard to believe but we DO eat! Mom only taught me a bunch of that stuff 7 years ago.

I love that I can cook.
I am not going to marry a woman because she knows how to use a vacuum cleaner or knows how to wash clothes 🤦🤣🤣
I want someone bringing in the pennies.
Pennies and love

It's still a valuable skill and no woman in her right mind would turn it down if a guy offered a good homemade dinner date from time to time.
True! And I wouldn’t turn it down
It actually happens more than you think. They love the free food but never the guy.
Then stay single
Those are not related most men in relationships don't cook , they are not single
Yes, women tolerate all sorts of laziness
The best thing to impress a woman is too cook and cook well. Not out of the microwave either. That might get you laid

Not all of us want the player. Make you more of man to do so.
Perhaps but still a large percentage do, either willingly or from not knowing.

Fair enough

Historically true but rape also didn't exist and you just take a women hostage and have her forced to breed with you

@Asker Bro... Like 90% of relationships are toxic. You didn't know that?
@Jamie05rhs 😅 that may be an overestimation.
Okay. Maybe it's 95%. Lol
Congratulations on winning a Troll of the day award.
I agree. No substance.
