Isn't it worthless to learn cooking as a guy?

Anonymous

If you set aside the fact that everyone needs to learn basics for supporting themselves. As a relationship skill, it's actually worthless for men. The majority of men either don't know or will not cook anything let alone develop the skills further for home. If they are professionally doing it that's fine.

I have seen most women don't mind cooking for the guys they love and men marry women for their housing and cooking skills. Even, several of my recent friends have done so. But as a man, your cooking skills can do nothing. Women do like the idea of men cooking for them but they will not eventually date them for that.

I meant in terms of a dating skill , as I have always seen many men marrying/dating girls based on their cooking or housing skills. Most traditional relationships are like this too.

I have one story, some years ago there was a cooking competition for men in our university. Several guys took part whether they could cook or not. There was a very attractive guy from my class whom most women were cheering for. They would tell nice things about the guy, how he's much more hot as he knew cooking. Actually the guy didn't know any single item but took part for popularity. After the time end he made a mess and food was weird looking and it tasted bad as per judges.
