Am I missing something or is this normal?

Been talking to this guy for a few weeks. We've face timed several times and things seem to be going well, he said he liked me blah blah blah.

Only problem is he takes hours to respond even after reading my messages... I understand if you're busy, I don't need an instant response but he'll read my message (the check marks turn blue when they've read it) and not say anything for hours or even a whole day.

He took the longest yet to respond yesterday and this was his response... wth? Our conversation before this was over video and we talked for a couple hours and laughed, had a good time. Is he just blunt or?

English isn't his first language but he speaks it very fluently, maybe it's harder for him to write or text in English so he keeps it short? I don't know... he lived in the US for a few years he should know how to text

chances are... he's talking with other girls too and not just you, trying his luck around

and if this is the same guy as before, maybe now he's more interested on the other girls that send pics he wants... he might be fishing

but let's say I don't have to be so cynical, and he's actually that tired and that busy... if he really cared about how you feel, then he would at least bother to actually explain to you before he gets busy or after he gets that busy just so you do not take it as a lack of interest

so, if he just says "sorry, too busy" and leaves it at that, he might be just not interested anymore and he's hoping you get the hint of it

Well not this particular instance I haven't, but I did mention him taking really long to reply in general and he said he's just busy...

I would personally have a dedicated conversation centered around this specific issue and frame it in a way that's not going to make him immediately defensive. If you come in with warmth and understanding he should hopefully be straight up with what's going on.
