In a blind date switch scenario, what should I do and/or what can I do better next time (if this situation is a lost cause)?

I got set up on a blind date and the person who set it up switched the person I was supposed to meet without me knowing. I got along fine with the guy but I didn't feel any chemistry when talking or when we kissed at the end.

For reference, it was a guy friend who set me up with his friends. I don't know if the first guy and the guy that showed up are friends. Also, the reasoning behind him switching guys is that he set up the date with a half hour of a heads up and the first guy happened to be working so he just asked the guy he was hanging out with to go. So he set up the date with an expectation that we (the original guy & I) would both be ready on a random day with no heads up.

Would it be inapropriate, desperate, or slutty to ask the guy who set us up if I can meet the person I was originally supposed to meet? Or should I just not end up with either of them.

Also I thought that my friend was rude to the original guy and me by switching the person especially because he basically raised the first guy's hopes and then set me up with someone else. Plus, I was also not informed of a switch happening.
