just a random question
I know of a real, slightly different case, where I met the couple. They were my much older sister's friends. I'll keep their anonymity, if that's OK.
Maybe you'll find it interesting, still?

She was what in the USA would be a high school teacher. He was a high school student. The attraction was there, but she shut him down over and over. She told him such crushes do happen, however it was just a passing fancy. He'd forget all about it when high school ended.
That is what a teacher should do. She did everything right, explained to the student all the reasons it would be wrong - some are in other comments - and potentially abusive and moved on. Bear in mind these were the more more conservative, in that regard at least, 80s.
But the now young man didn't forget his former teacher. He didn't have a teacher fetish - no, I'm not going to web search it for your sick pleasure, go listen to Van Halen's "Hot for teacher" or something - but was interested in the woman he met. When High School was over he tried again.
She turned him down flat. She said it was inappropriate and he was going to college. He would surely find someone he like there.
It would take until his second year of college for her to even agree to speak with him again. They talked in a public place. The man explained to her that this was no crush, that he really liked her and while he understood the possible backlash of society he would brunt it with her, and he would like at least like one date, something outside the previous context, just one chance to find out what they would be as a couple, and if she was capable of feeling the same way.
She did and last I knew, they married and had already 2 kids. Might be more now.
Bonus Answer from me: you can enter college at any age, for all kinds of degrees. You are bound to meet teachers your age. I would never date a current teacher - conflict of interest and too messy - but I would have no problem dating a former one, or one I didn't have in the curriculum.

I would not. However I did grow up in a small town in the midwest and we had several instances of seniors dating 1st year teachers. It was never out in the open but there are no secrets in a small town. Two of the teachers later married their students who they had dated while they were in school.
Of course not. Neither should teachers date their students if they know what is good for them. A teacher that dates a student not only risks to lose his/her job but will end up with a criminal record.
Also, a teacher that is caught dating one of his/her students will never ever be able to find a teaching job because no school or educational institution wants to take the risk to hire a person with a history of dating students. The teacher's teaching career is over and out. Who wants to take that risk?
I personally would not because I am not interested in dating.
Never really had hot teachers to fantasize about so no

I think almost everyone had these feelings for 1 of their teacher when they were your age. I liked a female teacher when I was 15 I believe. Back then I was hoping for a miracle to happen but sadly for me that never happened 😂
Its normal to feel like that at your age. I did too. But as the adult/teacher, they should never engage in that. 2 female teachers (that i knew of, there were probably more) in my old high school engaged in inappropriate relationships with students and not only did they get fired, they were put on a s** offender registry as well. A good teacher would not accept any advances from a student or initiate them.
That's a great way to get your professor fired, especially at a leftist State-run university of today, where they'll conduct an investigation just for speaking to a female and not maintaining the proper eye contact.
Nope. I don't mix business with pleasure. Ever. No matter how tempting. So anyone at work or place where I'm supposed to learn automatically becomes unattractive in my eyes.
Nah honestly I wouldn't care if they were my teacher... aside from it being unethical according to our society. If we are both over age and we are interested, I would totally do it.
No way. There’s an imbalance in the power dynamic that makes such relationships dangerous to at least one partner, and highly inappropriate for both.
if we're both 22, i probably would. If she is that cute and seems to have a good head on her shoulders
Ugh no. I wasn't attracted to any of my teachers. My history teacher was a good looking man but I just saw him as a teacher.
Nope, I nearly never had an handsome male teacher... my chemistry teacher was good looking but not my type tho
i have already but 19 and 24 is LOT different than you thing and your age !!!
Yeah if I got held back that many times that I was the same age as my teachers and one of them still wanted to date me, I don’t think I’d have any other options.
As a soon to be certified teacher this is disgusting. There are some lines that shouldn’t be crossed.
Probably not, due to the fact that they’re my teacher, plus I don’t date people around my age.
Nope, a teacher is a teacher period. There's no relationship with teachers outside school.
If I really liked him. He'd only be my professor for 1 semester anyways.
Not if she's still my teacher.
I like your user lolI don't know what teacher would be my age but I mean if she was hot…. LOL KIDDING
Why not? Though one has to be careful and pay attention to the educational institution rules.
No. Bad idea. Find a neighborhood creep instead.
Nope. Sleep with him if he was single and attracted to me? Hells yeah!
