Where do I stand?

I’ve been seeing this girl (who I work with) casually over the past few weeks after a few months of awkwardness, but I’m still unsure on where I stand.
Personally I didn’t think I meant a lot to her as she stated a few weeks back that she only wanted something casual after being hurt by a guy a few months back, which is fair, but my opinion is somewhat swaying on that.
Out of the blue I got a phone call from her while we were both out on the town last week. I had told her that I was planning on going out earlier that day, and she must’ve put it in her diary lol. Anyway we met up and to my surprise her best friend was with her! Is she introducing me to her personal life? Is this a good sign? As I said I didn’t believe that I meant that much to her, or maybe I’m just reading the situation wrong? We’ve spoken a little bit since then but I feel like I have a duty to ask her out? I already asked her out over a month ago (see previous post if interested) and she somewhat rejected me, but has since apologised saying she didn’t mean to come across like that.
Should I let it play out or should I approach the situation head on? Any advice would be great.
