Would this be a good way to let my crush know that I’m interested in him?

I work with someone remotely, and we live in different states. I’m in NY and he’s in FL. I’m leaving my job in a few weeks, and I don’t want to lose communication with him. I’m thinking of a way to let him know in a conversation that I’m interested by saying something like “We can still keep in touch. I wanna get to know you better outside of work.” What do you guys think?

Sure why not, leaving work and potentially losing contact forever. Its a risk but if he says nope, then your not out anything. You might get a email or number to keep in contact with some other way.

We have each other’s numbers, and we talk sometimes as friends during work hours. So I was thinking of texting him this or if he happens to call me before my last day (or on the last day) then I can tell him this

Sure, it's pretty blatant and will work for getting his attention but what if he isn't a long distance kind of guy?
