Been dating for a month within 24 hours of our date he had another girl in his bed I’m gutted

Hi everyone so I know he’s an absolute piece of shit but I could really do with some support over this! I only found out a few hours ago after he admitted it to me.

We’ve had been dating for a month and I’ve spoken to his mom even his mom told me he really likes me a lot, his family and friends know about me, planned stuff in the future, he’s said how happy he is with me and our relationship.

I last seen him Thursday and stayed at his I left him Friday morning to go home and spoke to him when I got back and everything was all good so I thought! He had a festival that weekend which I knew he was going to. He had been a bit quiet over the weekend but I wasn’t concerned as I knew he was at a festival.

Yesterday I felt something was off so I confronted him over it and today he called me and said I need to be honest as we always said we will be honest with eachother. “I had a girl fly over from Ireland (we live in England) to come to the festival with me” I was absolutely shocked as you can imagine. He then proceeded to tell me “I’ve slept with her and I want to give things a go with her I’ve known her longer than you and we wasn’t in a relationship and just remember I’ve told you and you wouldn’t of found out otherwise”

I was in absolute shock and can’t believe someone has treated me this way! After 24 hours she’s slept with him and apparently knew I was there the day before.

I could really do with some support right now :(

This is shitty behaviour on his part. It sucks now, and you're going through all the emotions of feeling betrayed, used, gutted, and probably questioning whether that month was not what you thought it was.

It's important that you feel what you feel. It's okay to be upset about it, but just know that you were probably too good for him. The fact that he acted like that clearly proves it. If you knew beforehand that this guy would do this to you, would you stick around?

Probably not. So, take it as a lesson learned, experience, and know that there are much better guys out there that will treat you the way you deserve!

As cutie says, rather now than later down the line when you're a lot more emotionally invested, and more attached to him.

In a happy, healthy relationship, people generally end up with someone who matches theirs morals, values and effort (if screened right). He wasn't the one Anonymous x

Well good things:

- he told you, now you know and there is no dubt

- you also now know that you are better of without him

- its a good thing you found out only after a month how he really is, it couldve been a year

- there are great men out there, dont let this one ruin your chances for love

- try to learn from experience and see signs before

- its not your fault

- its ok to feel angry, sad, however, let it out

There is no excuse for it and I imagine he will have no sensitivity to what is really happening. It is kind of like Grandma dying... you are experiencing a Loss. Grieve fully as one can not recover until one grieves. Sorry.
