Did this guy change his career path all because he fell in love with me?

I met this guy like a year and a half ago. It started casual, and he told me he had plans to move to another country for a year, and he planned this a year ago and the paper work was done and signed. He also told me he didn’t want to live here where we live anymore because of the awful winters and he wants a job so he can travel often. Since he was 18 he has traveled every year and worked abroad. He’s now 31. We saw each other for several months then he moved. He came back after one week and said it just didn’t feel right. He was jobless since he just graduated law school so he was struggling finding work. But we ended things off and on since he was stressed and things got messy. Months later I find out he found a job here that isn’t a job of which he can travel and he would have to stay living here in our state probably for years at least. He literally changed his entire career dream since he met me. He still checks in on me and things between us right now are unknown but do you think there’s any correlation between him meeting me and his career choice?

I wouldn't think so given he was unemployed for awhile. His behavior toward you also isn't consistent with that.
