I have a close guy friend who is Persian and I am Arab. He usually calls me “Habibti” and I wonder if it’s a friendly way to address a woman? In the Arab world, habibi is the common way to address a female whereas “habibti” is more romantic. What are your thoughts?

I think habibi means "love" . It's the only word I know in Arabic, but don't know when they use it

Yeah it's more romantic but if you're already close friends then it's just friendly...
Sounds like a term of endearment.
