Ladies: What is the best way to take a girl out, as a gentleman?

Take her out for a alcoholic drink.

If I was given the choice for a first date, then it would definitely have to be the coffee because that does not involve any alcohol.

Also, that date would have to be in a public place where there are a number of other people, just for safety and of course, it would have to be during day time as well.

I am much more reluctant with the place for an alcoholic drink because one drink usually leads to another one and yet another one. Getting intoxicated, as a woman, is potentially risky because even an apparent gentleman may want to take advantage of the situation.

Finally, a brunch is not ideal because it probably involves higher costs and you have to be aware that the date may not be able or willing to settle for her share of the bill.

Brunch is an interesting idea. It's not too late in the evening that she has to worry about getting home safely, and it's a bit more than just a coffee, but still not too expensive for you. Great idea!
