Ever been through something that didn't make much sense but still very hurtful?

a few months ago i went through a weird experience with this girl from my hometown. i had always assumed she was legit and everything normal about her and how we had meet. but things turned out really weird , i found out she had lied to me a lot even about things you'd never expect anyone to lie about. and that things about her just weren't as they seemed

but its weird cause she had initiated some of the things which advanced our time together. and made me think that she wanted to spend time together. i actually haven't seen her for a few weeks now but still nothing about this person makes much sense to me even after the fact. in fact the more i think the less sense any of it makes.

so i'm left hurt trying to somehow make sense of a situation which seems to not make any sense at all.

if it was just some random girl yes i would of been over this much sooner , i knew her a lot more though , i though she was legit but something about her seems off now and i can't seem to figure her out

i try to make sense of it all but it just doesn't make sense from start to finish , i realise sometimes people aren't honest and sometimes people do things for money but still , pretty sure she knew i had feelings for her and that i genuinely cared about this

last year she re appeared around Christmas , i saw her once at the local pub and we did a shot together and talked at her table , then i didn't see her again until may. so wondering if i'll see her again but i haven't seen her for sometime , i haven't seen her girlfriend's either there not around as well
