His friend asked me out?

We’re not together, we’re friends but have a mutual crush (I know this for sure). He doesn’t want anything (serious or not) with anyone right now because he has an important exam in 2 months. But we do have something above friendship, and for example he introduced me to his lifelong friends and sister a month ago.

Point is, one of these friends is asking me out. I know that he’s a mess at communication (even with his friends) so I’m not surprised. I don’t want anything with his friend ofc, but it’s super awkward to me - should I tell my crush that this is happening?
