A couple of weeks ago I told a guy at my job that I was interested in him. He just said that he finds me attractive and later, he added that he think I’m courageous for saying something like this. And before even saying all that, he admitted that he’s been single for many years because of many heartbreaks, trust issues, and also that he’s not really in the right place at the moment.
The reason I decided to tell him I was interested is because he showed me so much signs of interest. He was flirting a lot with me ( complimenting me , saying he thinks im a beautiful woman, asking indirectly if im single and saying that he’s single indirectly, winking non stop, trying to see me on purpose, deep eye contact while smiling a lot, was very curious about me, asking questions about my personal life, extremely helpful and teasing me , touching me more and more, etc ). I mean the list goes on.
And what pissed me off is that when I asked him why he was flirting with me, he told me that he flirts with everyone. Yes, he’s flirty with people but it’s NEVER that intense.
After that say, he was still overly nice , flirty and he was still touching me ( on my lower back and arms very gently ). He was still talking A LOT. He even mentioned while we were alone “ so you like older men eh “ winks again with a huge smile.
However, I did felt a bit awkward after I felt rejected. Im still nice, talk to him, smile and I’m polite. But I was less and less present. And I do talk less and less to him.
Today, he ate at the same time as me again, and decided to sit again closer to me. I engaged in a little conversation. But he was silent ( and usually he talks a lot ). And at some point we were alone , but I felt like he really wanted to say something ( he was silent but kept singing and he just seemed off ). But he just ended up asking me why I’m not eating and that I should eat more.
I don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable. I don’t know if it’s because of me?
