What do I do when I started talking to my boyfriend's bestie who likes me and I find myself liking him back, but still have feelings for my boyfriend?

My boyfriend, James, found and screamed at me about it. I just said, "I only love you" and started kissing him, so, then, he shut up about it. What do I do? I'm starting to find myself more attracted to his best friend.

You have three options.

1. Do nothing. Keep the feelings for bestie in your mind.

2. Break up with boyfriend in the hopes that bestie is willing to start up with you.

3. Let this play out and it's possible it'll resolve itself.

My advice? Do nothing. One of two things will happen: you'll realize that your feelings for bestie are crush-like and they burn themselves out. Or, you'll realize it's real and you want to ditch boyfriend. If you do, be honorable about it and do it swiftly and nicely. But know that the relationship with him and the one between him and bestie are going to be irrevocably altered.

he said he would support me no matter what and if I liked his friend more, he'll always be my friend and take me back if I miss him. I'm in tears because Ik that I like them both. and I'm gearing toward his friend, but I love him too much to ever break his heart. I wish I didn't have to choose.

So, make a list. Also try and get a sense of what it is you're leaving current boyfriend for. Is it that there's a spark because bestie is new? Exciting? Or bestie fills something in you/completes something? These are all rhetorical questions... just what you need to answer for you. But, to make it easier, take the emotion out of it. Try to work through what you gain and what you lose.
