My crush's bestfriend follows my friends whom she doesn't even know?

So I have a crush on a boy if my class. He has a bsf with whom I am also friends. Her social media account is completely private with only few friends including me recently she started to follow my bsf. My bsf (she) also has a private account and she doesn't even know her. They have never met each other. And it seems suspicious to me. What do you think about it.
