(for the guys) why is my friends with benefits acting this way all the sudden?

I’ve had a friends with benefits on and off for a year. We don’t just sleep together, we spend time together, cuddle, hold hands, go out to eat, carnival, etc. he gets jealous tells me he misses me and we argue sometimes. Sometimes we hang out without even having sex. he says things like “ I wish I didn’t miss you” basically it seems like he’s afraid to catch feelings and be in a relationship. He’s been cheated on. The last time we were texting I was talking about going out for New Year’s. He was concerned I was going to meet another guy and was jealous. And then on Christmas Eve he asked me to hang out but I couldn’t. Since then he’s been cold to me, so I just asked him through text “ you don’t like me anymore? “ and he didn’t answer. He NEVER does that. And it’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard from him.

To me, he was testing where you were and where priorities are. They weren’t with him so that did not set well.

Silent treatment does not equate too “caught feelings”. Silent treatment is the oldest manipulative move in the playbook for both teams. Someone who is right-hearted and has really “caught feelings” does not run to quiet form of gaslighting as well as shame and guilt implementation.

He don’t care about you….
