A guy I was recently talking to wondered why I almost never text him despite the fact I am really into him. I explained that in my personal opinion, social media has ruined the excitement of dating. All those conversations you could bond over and talk about in person instead get sent over text messages with no emotion, voice or face behind it just text. And then you miss out on so many special moments you could have had with that person. I don’t mind texting I just would prefer to talk about those things face to face where we can really bond. Texting for me is for making plans and maybe talking when we are unable to actually see eachother in person but I like to keep it to a minimum. Is anyone else like this?
Only as much as someone allows it to. Talking on the phone is great if two people cannot physically be with someone often. Seeing how someone appears in text, without all the emotions present that often warp logical and objective judgement, is a great tool for seeing if you are actually compatible with that person or if your hormones are just attracting you to them.

In my opinion. It does sometimes in situations like when you two didn't actually met even once and you found each other on apps like Facebook. I personally actually have an online relation but we were fast schoolmates for two years then got separated because of we had to go for higher education so we know each other and seen each other
yes and it's only gonna get worse. social media gives individuals access to options they wouldn't normally have.
Yes. No person-person.

To an extent, I do feel it does.
Only if people allow that to happen.
