Taking your first date out to McDonald's is the equivalent of sending a girl you've yet to date but you're trying to impress, some dead flowers on her birthday, your reasoning being, "Well flowers die anyway, so I thought I'd save the money and ask you out to dinner." If by some miracle she says "ok", you then take her to McDonalds.
