Could the gender dating problem be solved if we had less boy children?

Right now, there are a lot of guys who are left out of dating/romance. I believe in 2018 it was estimated that 28% of males viewed themselves as sexless under the age of 30. And this was before covid-19 pandemic, inflation and decrease job opportunities were in place.

I believe at present there are slightly more men than women in this world which gives women leverage in who they can be with. However, during World war period, there was a massive shortage of men so much so that women were the ones chasing men. Girls were being taught how to act like wives/girlfriend and were on their best behavior when it comes to dealing with guys. Now for this effect to happen, women had to outnumber men 2:1.

Do you think if we do a reverse china and cut down on the amount of male children in the world that the gender imbalance in dating could be fixed?

Only because women tend to live 4-5 years longer. In age groups under 50 there are more males.

@zagor I do not know where you are getting those stats from because they are different than what I see. And, where I am there are 1.89 girls for every guy from University up to 40. Where are you getting your numbers as they are clearly wrong. It is the same way in Asia where I travel and have work.

Currently more women in the US are attending college than men. That just means men are attending college at lower rate. But actual natural births tend to be about 51% male, though cultural preferences in some places make that higher. Any actual statistical survey will show there are more men than women:

This is for the US only, but shows males outnumber females up to age 40.

Where I am the girls compete for us. The politicians and Business are 💩 in their pants because there are more women in USA than men. Business saves money…

Old map, but then as now India and China account for a huge chunk of the world's excess men. China has an excess of more than 30 million men. India is even worse, with about 48 million more men than women. In the USA, there are three million more women than men. The UK has about 3/4 million more women than men, same as Spain. France 2 million more. In the West, the problem is not that there are too few women.

Hmm. Not really. I don't believe that will solve anything. Because women don't ACTUALLY have all of those "options" that they think they have. None or very few of those men actually want to marry them or be in a long-term relationship. So the current problem isn't mathematical; it's psychological.

Ideally you would want 1 female per 1 male if everyone were straight. Bisexuality and homosexuslity complicate things.

There are over 8,000,000,000 people on earth, but those 2 numbers only add up to 7,383,000.

It is natural for there to be more males. From an evolutionary standpoint it improves the species because they have to compete to mate. Less competent/healthy specimens are kept from breeding.

Logically it makes sense. Women will have to take an active part in dating too when the men are fewer.
