I'm not at all. If my lady where to earn so much money that i don't need to work a single day of my life then hell yeah. I can stay home and take care of the house and stuff. Do my hobbies
Women think that being successful should be attractive to men the way women are attracted to successful men.
We aren't. Its not a turn on. So then women realize this and tell each other men are just intimidated.
The other problem is women date across and up, men date across and down. Meaning, a successful man is going to be more attractive to women who make less vs women who make equal pay.
I am not intimidated by successful women at all. There are a lot of them that I won't hang out with because of personality and some tend to be in a rush all the time, but I don't feel intimidated.
It's true that some men find successful women intimidating, but it's also true that successful women are often insufferable to be around, especially today. Most often from what I've seen, and a man not wanting to be around a successful woman, had more to do with her character. A lot of women just default to saying men are intimidated by them, or gay, because its trendy, and an easy way for them to protect their ego.
Yeah but painting every woman with that brush who is successful being masculine isn't quite fair. Many women know how to drop into their femininity once they leave the board room. Many don't as well.
I didn’t say that. I said generally aren’t soft. Generally means not everyone. Of course there are other types and I am not sure why people only see black and white, absolutes when comments are made in such a way. So painting my comment that way isn’t fair. Interactions with her will tell the tale. It will be obvious.
Who says we are intimidated by successful women? This a feminist trope because they think men should have the same mate selection criteria as women. They explain our lack of interest in some successful women as 'being intimidated'. It has got to be a male failure instead of the female being unattractive.
I don’t know but I’m not. My future wife is going to end up making more money than me in the long run. It’s just the nature of our professions and I say good for her.
In my case, women are intimidated by me. I am more successful than women of my age. I belong to a wealthy family, I was a brilliant student of my class. I have done my bachelors and masters with any gaps. I got a high paying job. I made millions in stock trading. People said, your have accomplished a lot in your life bcoz you are a gifted and the luckiest person.
But I am not lucky in love though. I think girls are jealous of my success including my feminist younger sister. Some of my male friends are jealous too. They can't digest my success. All my friends who make less money are married. But I am still searching for soulmate.

In this stereotypical world are you really surpried.
For many many years men have been brought up to be the bread winner, the man, the protector of women.
Seeing a woman take a higher or same roles makes the man not exactly feel happy and also makes him feel like people will laugh at him.
I'm not saying women can't be successful or be higher or same as a man professionally in a job but for a man's masculinity especially if she tell him what to do in front of others makes him feel less of a man.
If we are going down this road then let me ask you something, why in a divorce that the mother's have more rights over the kids than the father's and if the father does get custody of the kids does the mother pay child support and if not then why not? If the father has too if kids are living with the mother then why doesn't the mother if kids are living with the father
I get like 30 notifications a minute so no idea I even made a comment and I didn't get anything from GAG so I guess you just hid it? I mean what did I say? Can't recall
Men aren't intimidated per se; they just know that women prefer to date up or across so a "successful" woman is more likely to look down on him if she doesn't view him as at least on her level success-wise. Men want to feel powerful like women want to feel safe. Successful women often fail to make men feel powerful because they're not wired to.
You could reframe the question to say "why are women so afraid of dating less successful men?"
I would bet a large amount of money that 99% of guys who say what you say never dated a successful woman who was rude with an unpleasant demeanor. Most get it off the internet and You Tube and just rinse and repeat. lol

We aren’t those women just need to tell themselves that men are intimidated because they don’t want them
women don’t share their resources success and wealth doesn’t make women more attractive like it does for men
That is a good follow up question.

I mean that is for sure where we are headed.
I would love to do my woodworking, photography and other things more. Right now i simply have not time for it. I hate working haha
don't we all man
My wish is to get that freedom one day, no matter if it's from my own doing or my partners or just luck.
I got mine a few years ago so couldn't be happier.
Congratulations 🎉👏 I'm happy for you :)

She can easily discard him if she's successful herself. Know why many marriages in 80s survived? Wife's financial dependency!!
Men already get discarded at an alarming rate by unsuccessful women so maybe lol
Maybe in America
Here in India men are God.
Wow nice
Yup. I plan on getting a girlfriend hence. Mom wants me to get a traditional husband, but that's never gonna happen.
I don't hate men, I hate Indian society.
@Guardian45 it may surprise you but some people read
That must be a local thing, because it wasn't the case here in NA.
No it's not. Women were oppressed, if they didn't receive education, they'd still be!
"I don't hate men, I hate Indian society."
I said this because women in India despite their education are oppressed.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other.

LOL nice

What's to be intimidated about? Still just a woman when you strip away all the success/luxuries.
This socioeconomic crap is what makes us a dumb species, thinking someone is better than another person bc of the car they drive. What a pile.

Successful people generally aren’t “soft” people, they are hard or hard nosed. Men want a feminine woman not a business partner.

Okay man thanks for the comments. No harm intended.
No problem, thanks

The same reason I am for beautiful women. I worry I don’t deserve them. (That of course doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want either/both. I’m just extra shy.)
Yeah they can smell it on men.
What does that mean?
Most women don't like shy men. They can smell how intimidated you are by lack of confidence in your speech, attitude and posture.
Thanks for the confidence boost. >_>;
Just saying it like it is man nothing against you at all my friend.

They aren’t!! intimidated and uninterested/turned off are different things. Having a private jet isn’t what a man thinks a woman’s success is
Looks pretty successful to me lol
So guys pursue women for their money/possessions? That’s why guys pursue women?
What you asking me for? You should make a post on GAG and ask everyone.
These gender questions have started getting tiresome 😈
Reported. Ha! Get banned now
LOL I can't ban myself
Then who hid your opinion? 😂

@coachTanthony Some men are intimidated by successful women because of her rude personality & or unpleasant demeanor.

I think only the unsuccesful men are intimidated.
I agree.
Successful men aren’t even intimidated by other successful men.
They get inspired, not intimidated.
Insecure men get intimidated by successful women and bitter towards successful men.
Well said!
Toxic masculinity has convinced men they have to be the breadwinners and still see women as subservient to men and should stay home with the kids.
