What do you think of a rich and retired single guy who don't really want dates and never dated at all?

Imagine a rich single guy, about to be a middle age who has never dated anyone has his own happiness. Maybe art, collections, gallery, toys, games or whatever and he's not changing till he dies. But before you think it's sad, I never said he's lonely. He doesn't care about what people say. He doesn't care if his friends have their own family. He just wanna be happy his way. So what do you think of those kind of guys? A girl can be like that too but since I'm a dude, I ask what you think about guys like that. Maybe i might end up being like that and I'm curious about what you think.

I know guys/girls like that, and they are unbearable assholes. They will either overdose or commit suicide when they get too close to their miserable truth.

Mainly as they have no direction, companions or discipline in their lives. Only shitty "stuff," and when they start to run from that, is when the depression creeps in.

That is very close to what I am, but not exact.

I do want a girlfriend, and I am lonely, and I've never gone on a date, but I have had past relationships.

But, I do have those things, they do bring me joy, I don't care what people say, I'm never changing.

But instead of choosing to be alone, I'm just being extremely picky with what women I consider.
