Is this normal date behavior from a guy?

I went on a first date last week, and we both had a great time, but there wasn't really any flirting, touching, or kissing. Is this a bad sign, or is it just a guy being a gentleman or possibly a bit nervous? I was a bit nervous as well, so I don't think that helped.

We're going on a second date in the afternoon tomorrow. I'm rubbish when it comes to flirting, so without outright just saying "wanna kiss," what kinds of things can I say to let him know I really like him?

Some guys are respectful and aren't flirty on the first day, plus it's not good to be all kissy and touchy on a first date until you know for sure that they want a relationship
