Is it a good sign if a guy FaceTimes a girl to get to know her somewhat before a face to face hangout/date?

This guy I met a few days ago, he’s 32 and I’m 24. We began texting back and forth a little bit online, we’re both from California just a few cities away but not extremely far. He gave me his number and we moved to texting a little bit then he asked to FaceTime me, luckily we were able to since we both have iPhones. I felt like everything went well so far, we ended up talking about our jobs and hobbies, he works a nursing assistant so I can imagine he’s pretty busy and I work retail and also busy and on the go but things didn’t feel awkward, he also liked me naturally without a filter being my complete self, I just get a bit shy but he reassured me im fine the way I am and he said he would be interested in meeting up when we have time. Any thoughts? Guys have you did this before meeting a girl in person?
