I had a crush on my best friend we been friends since the age of 17 /18 I guess he knows that I had a crush on him but he never seemed to reciprocate feelings back towards me his friends keep talking about how me and my best friend would be good together but he just doesn’t care

here's the funny part he’s had gfs before I always thought it was because he was shy but than he’s had relationships before of course he has… I mean just recently I found out he was dating a girl they broke up but that girl is now dating someone else how I know this because he told me himself, but when I told him I liked him he never spoke about how he feels.

Instead he just bought up his ex girlfriend telling me when he dated her he really fell in love with her. He also claims that he’s better looking than the guy his ex girlfriend is dating now.

I have seen nothing but a future with this guy I was ready to leave my home town and move closer to him. I was ready to get a job there etc I was ready to leave my life here for him I know I am a fool for putting up with this.

But no not once has he cared about me.. he’s bought up wanting to have sex 3 times now or more and bought up having to marry me than divorce me after one night which would be the night we have sex.

I been friends with him as I said since the age of 17/18 upwards and liked him for 6 years waited around his friends wondered why I like him when he talks smack about me.. he won’t ever FaceTime me or anything only does when he’s drunk. I know these are all signs that he dosnt love me never has done and I been taken for nothing but a mug.

Can someone tell me if he ever did like me or was I just a game to him

I'm sorry but it really sounds like this dude has never had real feelings for you. The stuff he's said about only wanting sex and then divorcing you after is super messed up and disrespectful. No guy who actually cares about a girl would ever talk to her like that.

He clearly still cares about his ex too if he's constantly bringing her up and comparing other guys to her. Sounds like he might not be over her fully. The fact that he'll only FaceTime when drunk also shows he doesn't take your relationship seriously.

Any real man would be excited to introduce you to his friends and family, not talk smack behind your back. You deserve way better than being someone's back-up option or game. It's brutal but I think deep down you already know he's not invested in you the same way.

As hard as it is, I think you need to start moving on from this dude. Don't waste any more of your precious time hanging around waiting for scraps of affection. You'll find someone someday who treats you like a queen and makes you their number one priority, I promise.

For now, focus on yourself and your goals. Hit the gym, hang with your real friends, pick up a new hobby - anything to keep your mind off this jabroni. Chalk it up as a lesson and keep your chin up luv! On to bigger and better thangs.

I think I have always known he didn’t like me I just didn’t want to accept it the amount of times I have backed up his actions for example him saying things like he will call me back and dosnt till months later my friends see this as a sign but I backed it ip saying no it could just be that he’s busy or something… what hurts the most is knowing that I invested 6 years of my life and pushed away everyone else to be with him I guess it took me 17 years to realise this and I like your honesty

Don't be too hard on yourself either for not realizing sooner. When you really care about someone, it's normal to want to believe the best and make excuses for their behavior. But your friends could see more clearly what you didn't want to.

The important thing now is focusing on you. You deserve to be with someone who makes you their priority too, not just an afterthought. Take some time to hang with your real friends again, do stuff you enjoy, and just take your mind off this guy.

Feeling jealous of your sister is normal, but try not to compare. She found her person earlier, that's all. You're still so young! At 30 your life is just beginning.

Man, breakups can really take it out of you hey. It's totally normal to lose interest in stuff for a while when you're dealing with big feelings like this. But it's really important not to let it drag you down too much either.

I put up with it for years he’s now 28 and I’m 29 his birthday is this month but I put up with it since the age of 18 there’s also been a time where he’s told me that he’d rather be sleeping with someone than talking to me but no one understands what I’m actually going through it hurt because I saw him as a friend and had feelings for him and was waiting for him to have feelings for me. Instead it feels like my life crumbled in 6 seconds he had said he liked me in the past but why has he never bought it up than or mentioned it to me I been backing him up for years he would end a call with me and always use the excuse my brother is calling me or his sister is calling me and he will call me back after which by the ways he never did call me back. The best one my mum is calling me I will ring you back again he never did. The first time in years we spoke for 2 hours and a half or so and all he did was tell me about his ex girlfriend and how he felt for her I thought after messaging him that I liked him he’d have asked me about it but he didn’t
