I’m smaller than girlfriend’s ex?

This isn’t about what you would think, thank goodness. I’m gonna keep this short and sweet. I’ve been seeing this girl now maybe 6 months (Long Distance Dating). Something that she brought up not too long into our getting to know each was whether I thought she was tall (she’s 5’5) and mentioned that I’m significantly shorter & smaller than her ex (I’m 6’0, 170 pounds and he was 6’4,300 pounds).

Well, since then she’s here and there brought up how that’s what she likes in a guy and how “safe” she felt walking around her her ex (he was a aggressive guy). It makes me feel insecure because that’s just not me. I wouldn’t say I’m super skinny.

She tells me that she loves me and wants to me with me.. it just hurts a lot.

I would love to hear what others have to say on this topic. What could I possibly do?

Well.. let me advice u something, even if chicks sayin ''I don't care how u look'' they do, ye u gotta be always strong, look strong and know how to dominate. You being shorter ain't a problem, if girl is dumb then yeah she will make your height a problem, height is something which we can't change and it ain't in our hands to change. Height also doesn't have any impact or affect whenever u are going to fight someone ( Mike Tyson, Connor McGregor, Khabib Nurmegedov, Floyd Mayweather they all under 6.0ft but they are the kings ) As I said, you being shorter doesn't make any sense but yeah I advice you to workout & learn Martial Arts u should know how to fight, u should show people.. especially to your woman that you can beat the shit out of her ex if one day he acts tough.

It ain't late to learn how to fight, I know a guy who's 24 and just in 2 years he turned into a monster, you can aswell.

That's just super inconsiderate, lol. Sounds to me like she's having trouble reconciling with the fact that you're not his size. Maybe she hopes that you'll work out more or magically grow 4 inches?

Very. I brought up that I felt like maybe I wasn’t her type and she cried. She wants to be with me and never meant to hurt me.

Feel good that you potentially risked more heartache than you already have... I think it's pretty uncalled for to bring up the ex. Or maybe it's because I've been here for so long. I learned that guys are very sensitive about their height.
And someone who's aggressive wouldn't make the average person "feel safe", that's just more danger and risk to deal with. I don't think it's going to work out, feel good it hasn't been that long... But I always feel a bit uncomfortable when it's a long distance, cause I don't know what he would be doing out there. Not being able to see that person would make me and him nothing more than a pen pal.
