I think it depends on what you specify as gamer like just someone who only play video games than realistically yes, if you mean one of those gamers who plays in tournaments than that is a real job E Sports are super lucrative and I think Game Developer would immediately want to have a word with you because that is a real career. But people who just generally play video games without no set goals in mind than yes that isn't a real job
