No, if anything they would have been blocked, deleted, and I wouldn't even be looking at their social media. But that's just me: when I break up or end things with someone, I delete, or attempt to, all traces of them in order to move on.

Reacting to a post with an emoji on social media of all places? Meh. Sounds like they're just being cordial or friendly. In other words, don't read too much into it. It doesn't mean he still likes you, or wants you back.

I didn't react to my ex when he changed his profile picture, as I wanted to pretend as though I hadn't seen it, just in case he was hoping for a negative reaction from me. On the other hand, if he had simply uploaded a picture of kittens, and it was a while ago that we broke up, I would feel fine liking it, as it may have just naturally shown up in my feeds, as opposed to it looking like I went out of my way to see the picture.
