Y'all ever feel single?

Like right now I'm chilling with a movie and Chinese food. I feel single...

I felt that maybe twice before. Once, when I went to Target... I was like tf? Is this a subliminal place for couple-shoppers? I never saw a lady by herself, and some college-looking couples were there. Yk young ones. All kinds- not just married. It was so weird..

Later, I never cared because I felt dangerous enough to steal any of the guys, and also lol I really was just so happy to buy what I wanted and rush to another store, so I was glad I wasn't slowed down with some crazy-eyed hand holder lol XD

The other time was like 2/3 Valentine's ago, where my family didn't exchange Valentine's, as a group, but with their lovers/ mom and dad/ etc. My sis shared with her son. I had none :,) I was like- oh... cool...

weirddddd lol

and agonizing for the rest of the 24 hours.

Needless to say, the other Valentine's Days I spent as Spa Days with soft things/ fuzzy/ sweet-smelling/ tasty things and good movies. <3 the best

Now I never feel single. Lately, I just feel content, and independently single. That's what and who I am.

I mean I am single so that's my vibe 24/7!

But I see it as more of a compliment than a bad thing: I eat what I want, when I want. After work I'm antisocial as heck and don't want to talk to or do anything other than play video games or watch tv before bed... which let's be real, when you're in a relationship or married, you can't do that or it would upset your partner.

And if I want to go out and just enjoy myself without stressing over, "Huh, I wonder if my partner wants to go/do/eat here?"

Yeah, I feel single- and it feels great.

It's natural to feel that way. So don't be hard on yourself. Today you're single, tomorrow you'll probably not be.

As for me, I don't feel single ever since I am in a relationship. If I did, then that would be a problem, right?

But I used to feel single when I was single AND in a previous relationship. Trust me, it's better to be actually single and feel that way rather than be with someone who makes you feel alone. And like everything in life, these thoughts and feelings come & go.

Instead of lamenting about it, try to enjoy the beauty it brings. Enjoy each phase of life.

I feel like the more I venture into learning more and more about life… the world, myself, and my place within all of it, the more “single” I become… 😬

Because I feel like as much as I’m a path of personal growth and discovery, the more obscure and “unrelatable” I become, to most people. It’s just the general vibe I get… a lot of people are asleep within the framework of what’s expected of them.

Yes in college when my boyfriend was in another part of the country studying. I was third wheeling with my friends and I felt out of place. So I’d go on movie dates on my own. Or eat alone at restaurants and spend most of my weekends alone in my dorm.
