Okay so this one is right up my alley. I am a bartender so it is a similar scenario. For me, I don't like to be hit on when I am trying to do my job. I already have people trying to get my attention for drinks that I don't have time to stop and make small talk and flirt. That said a barista is going to be a little different. They are likely less hectic than I am at work. Though, some of those coffee shops do get crazy busy. Probably the best and only way is to just ask when she gives you your order or have your number and name written down on a napkin. You could just say "if you are interested in grabbing a cup of coffee sometime" (or whatever) and sliding that to her. You just don't want to interrupt her for too long.
