My tip:Reverse image search is your friend. I had a friend once ask me my thoughts on this girl he was talking to who seemed a little 'to good to be true.' After reversing her images I was able to see that they were just stolen pictures of a p*rn star from another country.

i have, it sucks, its not the difference in apperance itself but not only did they lie which is a deal breaker to start a realtionship with lies but she lied to me for a whole year so at that point i matched the personality i liked with another womans face and when you see that it was all a lie, it somewhat ruins the whole thing, i didn't go mean on her but i kindly told her i was not interested in keeping things going considering the first year since we met was a lie, i also gave her many times to come clean and she didn't until she did at some point when i told her to just tell me the truth and she did, thats why i didn't snap on her, the courage and honesty to come clean shows she wasn't a bad person, its all gopd tho now cause she has a boyfriend and she lookd happy and im happy for her
First of all, I'm sorry. That is a terrible thing to do to someone. To lie like that and for so long. And it's crazy how powerful a connection to someone can be based on that combination of who they are and what they look like. So it makes perfect sense how a change in how they look would cause you to revert back to viewing them as a total stranger.

well everytime i talked to her i got very bad gut intinct feelings, its like when you are nervous but on steroids cause its stronger and it feels like your stomach is spinning but she also had a change in character when i would compliment "her" appearance, she never really genuinely accepted the compliments, she wasn't rude but i can detect a change in personality, i guess its a god give gift, some of the background things didn't add up with her personality like items and things that contradict not only her personality but things she's mentioned previously, she had a picture of a dude in the background which she lied and said it was her brother, it was iffy, but the giveaway was her insecurity questions, she would ask randomly at times, if i was like this would you still love me, if i was like that would you still love me and they were the same insecurities so it made me wonder, then you ask why and she would change the topic, over time the sus stuff builds up but you can spot a lot from just looking at backgrounds in their pictures, i also forgot to mention that it turned out to be a friends ex so i wasn't gonna do that to the homie 🤣
it was her looks and i did know her through my friend tho, she actually created the fake account to spy on her ex and she ran into my account and grew interest and then fell for me and thats how it started, instead of being straight forward before things got serious she listened to her insecurities and decided to feed the lie
why do you ask tho? do you feel like you are getting catfished?
I ask this question for a few reasons: 1) I see guys on here sometimes that are clearly flirting/sexting with a man and either don't seem to realize it or it's wishful thinking 2) I see women (?) on here that lie about their age or post other people's photos or highly photoshopped photos for attention or presumably to scam, 3) it actually blows my mind how crazy the makeup and filters are these days, so I'm curious whether people have experience going on dates with men or women that look NOTHING like how they portrayed, 4) entertainment - I want to hear people's stories. But for the record, not entertainment from stories like yours. Thats f'd up, especially when you really start to care about someone.

it happened to me when i was 16 and she was 20, it happened a long time ago but with the technology today i can't imagine, now you have AI apps helping people catfish, they can miss me wit that shit 😷😂

i know, its happened to me before, it can get a bit confusing without realizing you are accidentally updating, i do recommend another public announcement to say it was a woopsie tho so the person doesn't think it was on purpose lol
I continuously get messages from profiles of young, attractive women with no information on their profile except a photo. I'm 63, bald and overweight. Here's the thing, I haven't been catfished because I know better. 23 year old women I don't know aren't hunting the internet looking for me.
That's terrible. I understand wanting to present yourself in the best possible light, but you gotta be honest with yourself and the other person. Did they not think you were going to notice? I don't get it.

Makes sense to me. It also seems like a good way of kind of breaking the ice between you and someone else. That way when you finally go out, it's not a completely blind date, and it would probably make it a lot more comfortable and enjoyable for both of you.

They had this guy tried to meet an online decoy who was an adult, but he thought he was meeting a 16-year-old girl, but she was an undercover female police officer and the guy spent years locked up… This one guy was a Catfisher and pretended to be his daughter thank God I did a search on stuff, and it came back to me as older guy portraying his daughter
On tinder sure. With filters etc. One chick claimed to be 25 when she had got to be 40. Another girl post a pic and she looked OK from the angle but turned out she was fat.
Good advice! It's seems like a lot of people have become so reliant on technology for their social life, that they have forgotten how to actually meet and communicate with people in person. And that's not a dig, because I'm definitely guilty of this myself. Just an observation that advancements in technology has been both a blessing and a curse.
And they try hard too! Unfortunately, many people out there are vulnerable to it or are not able to recognize the signs. Thank goodness that has never happened to you. 😊

Must have been VERY old. That's not cool. I don't really understand why people think that their dates are just going to accept them looking completely different. Not to mention your first impression of them will be that they're a liar.

Yeah, I agree. And it's interesting because it seems to me that despite being more connected than ever (thanks to technology) people are lonelier than ever. I actually think that's one of the reasons that Only Fans has been so successful.
