How do you get rid of your orbiters when you are getting into a serious relationship?

I am certainly not close to a serious relationship, but I'm thinking about my last one. Examples.. the the random girls that I can call anytime to come over, the girls I slept with overseas that we still keep in touch, the girls on the other side of the country that send me sex messages, the girls you haven't slept with but know you could, what do you do when you are getting serious with someone? Do you block everyone? Do you tell them you are dating someone? Thoughts?

I mean, if you expect to be in the relationship long term then you should probably tell them so they don't come looking for you at some point. Or at least be honest if they do say something. Obviously jealousy isn't great, but realistically you probably will make your partner a bit insecure if you're constantly being contacted by people looking to hook up and aren't extremely clear that you're now in an exclusive relationship.

If they contact you then you tell them you're in a relationship. If you currently have a friend with benefits or a couple then you need to have the talk. Tell them it needs to end and why.
